Jacques is conducting Research at the Centro de Estudos das Américas of the Cândido Mendes University in Rio de Janeiro. He has authored several books on race relations in Brazil and is a member of the Affirmative Action Studies Network and sits on the Advisory Board of Africana: the Encyclopedia of the African and African American Experience.
